Lindbjerg Academy of the Performing Arts

Vision and History

The Lindbjerg Academy is a performing arts school that is dedicated to teaching the art of musical theatre. The Academy is not only a school where children learn the skills to perform, but also a place where those skills are applied and enjoyed. The Academy has directed choirs that have performed in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat both times the professional company came to Vancouver (including the tour starring Donny Osmond).

The Academy also produces their own productions that play at the Inlet Theatre, Terry Fox Theatre and The Act. Production titles included such shows as: Oklahoma, Annie, The Wizard of Oz, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, Anne of Green Gables and Cinderella, to name just a few!

They also have performed as a group on such shows as Breakfast Television, Urban Rush, The Morning Show and at the PNE, Variety Club Telethon, and the James Productions of Christmas Pops.

Apart from the Academy the students keep themselves busy! Several of our students have performed in commercials, made for TV movies, voiceovers for cartoons and animated feature films. They are also regularly chosen to do roles in local community theatre productions for Royal City Musical theatre, Theatre Under the Stars, and Footlight Theatre.
